About our school

The image above was taken by one of our ex-governors, from an aeroplane flown by a friend operating out of nearby Brimpton Airfield. We are encouraging him to take another flight so that we can use a picture that shows our newer buildings!

You'll find our school on the north-western edge of Aldermaston Village in Wasing Lane. Since the school moved, in 1988, from its original Victorian building up the road in Church Lane, pupil numbers have steadily increased to 185 currently on role (October 2016). To accommodate these numbers, the school was extended in 2001, 2004 and 2012. The building now provides light, airy and spacious classrooms for seven single year group classes from reception (4 and 5 years old) to year 6 (10 and 11 years old), as well as a central library, prayer/tutorial room, art area and kitchen. The site includes a large playing field, adventure playground, a garden with a vegetable bed for each year group which is also home to our chickens, environmental area, dedicated learning area and playground for our youngest children and covered outdoor areas.

All these provide a good quality environment which supports our children in achieving their School Aims .
