Learning Through Play

LEARNING THROUGH PLAY

Characteristics-of-Effective-Learning(2)

Each day the children have a choice of free play or doing a supervised activity. These can be either indoor or outdoor and include construction (lego etc), arts & craft (Hama beads etc), sport, role play, music and computers. With free play the children have access to a wide range of toys and equipment and will be child led with a staff member there only to ensure that they are safe and happy. Though staff are happy to join in, if invited.

Supervised activities are more structured with at least one staff member involved. Parents are able to see what supervised activies are planned via the Schedule which goes out with the booking form at the beginning of each half term. Please click here to see an example Schedule.

All our activities aim to help a child develop further, at their own pace, in a fun environment.
